Short Course on “Religion and Democracy”

Next week, I will give a short course on “Religion and Democracy” at the University of Berne. The course takes a strictly empirical-analytical perspective and covers a range of topics, including changes in religious demography, religion and social capital, Islamic culture and democracy, religion and voting behavior, de jure religious freedom and de facto religious regulation in modern democracies, and the treatment of religious minorities in Swiss direct democracy.
